by Mountai Telephone and Telegraph Company (Author)
Between mid-June and early July 1947, rancher W.W. "Mac" Brazel found strange debris on his property in Lincoln County, New Mexico, approximately 75 miles north of Roswell. Also, several "flying disc" and "flying saucer" stories were circulated at that time in the national. Brazel believed the debris could be the remains of an alien spaceship. He brought some of the material to Sheriff George Wilcox of Roswell. The latter, in turn, brought it to the attention of Colonel William Blanchard, the commanding officer of the Roswell Army Air Field (RAAF). But behind all the UFO mania lies an uncomfortable truth. The events that transpired that summer are anything but clear-cut, with admitted coverups and conflicting explanations: It was a saucer! It was a spy craft! It was the Soviets! The reader could check out who was living in the City of Roswell, NM, at the dawn of the UFO Age. Six years before, in 1947, Roswell Army Air said it had "come into the possession" of a flying saucer. The story appeared in the local Roswell Daily Record and across the wire Hours later, the U.S. Air Force in Fort Worth would issue a suspicious denial, saying it was all a mistake. But, how a weather balloon could be an exotic, unknown aircraft? This book is a facsimile reproduction of the original ROSWELL TELEPHONE DIRECTORY. WINTER 1954-1955 by the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Company. This is a rare and hard-to-find title, and it is almost impossible to get a copy. Because this material is culturally important, we have made it available as a reproduction of the original title. Please, copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/
