There was no money for college when Terry Ashe graduated high school. The farm family of four was left destitute when Terry's dad, a highly decorated World War II veteran, was hit and severely disabled by an uninsured driver on the way to work. Ashe trained as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division and was promptly sent to Vietnam. He describes experiences in detail, including his miraculous survival of the deadly ambush of his recon team as it drove into enemy territory.
