Author Biography

Eileen C. Burke-Sullivan joined Creighton University as a full-time faculty member in the Theology Department in 2003. During her tenure, she served as the Director of the Master of Arts in Ministry Program and the Director of the Christian Spirituality Programs. She was also the inaugural chairholder of the Barbara Reardon Heaney Chair in Pastoral Liturgical Theology and the Vice President of the Division of Mission and Ministry for Creighton University. Dr. Eileen C. Burke-Sullivan passed away in November 2024. Her extensive career in theology and ministry has left a lasting impact on the institution and its students, fostering a deep appreciation for Ignatian spirituality and Christian formation.

Julia A. Dowd is a pastoral minister and education administrator currently serving as director of mission integration for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur sponsored schools and health care centers. She has published articles in the area of Ignatian spirituality and feminist theology.

Mark Mossa, SJ, is a professor of religious studies at Loyola University New Orleans. He is the author of Saint Ignatius Loyola: The Spiritual Writings, Already There: Letting God Find You, co-author of Just War, Lasting Peace: What Christian Traditions Can Teach Us, and essays and articles that have appeared in a variety of collections and publications.

Stephanie Russell is the Vice President for Mission Integration for the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities having served for more than three decades in Ignatian pastoral ministries and Jesuit higher education.

Lori Stanley is the first lay executive director of the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, California, leading its Ignatian retreats, formation programs, and pilgrimages. She also serves on the USCCB's Anti-Racism Task Force for California and collaborates with Jesuit Antiracism Sodality (JARS) and Jesuits West Collaborative Organizing for Racial Equity (CORE) to advance racial equity through Ignatian spirituality.
