Texas Bix Bender (pseudonym), aka Stephen Cook Arwood, was an American writer, television producer, and author best known for his humorous books based on cowboy wisdom and the series Don't Squat with Yer Spurs On! He was a long-time collaborator with Riders In the Sky (an American Western music and comedy group) serving as the narrator for their NPR series Riders Radio Theater. Bender lived in Nashville, Tennessee.
