There is a chapter giving an overview of the Hebrew Bible (Tanak), which enables the reader to find a glossary entry connected to a particular passage. The chapter on narratives primarily uses a content-based approach (distinguishing annunciation narratives, covenant establishment narratives, festival observance narratives, and so forth) which makes it especially useful for pastors and rabbis.
