Hawthorne's mission journey began at Urbana '76, where John Stott and Ralph Winter shaped his vision for global evangelization. While earning his master's at Fuller Seminary, he copyedited the first \u003ci\u003ePerspectives \u003c\/i\u003ereader with Winter and later served as executive editor of \u003ci\u003eWorld Christian \u003c\/i\u003emagazine. He launched research teams to identify unreached peoples in major world cities and continued this work with Caleb Project. In 2013, he completed a PhD in biblical mission theology at Fuller. Today, he directs WayMakers, a ministry mobilizing prayer for Christ's glory, writing and speaking to ignite passion for God's global purposes. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cbr\u003ePam Arlund holds a BA from The George Washington University and an MA and PhD in linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington. After attending Urbana as a student leader with InterVarsity, she spent ten years as a church planter and Bible translator in Central Asia, witnessing the first believers among a small people group. For more than fifteen years, she has taught \u003ci\u003ePerspectives\u003c\/i\u003e courses globally and serves with All Nations International and the Society of the Good Shepherd.
